While the front of my
*renewed hutch* was exactly how I had envisioned, I had completely neglected to consider the back. . . This black, hulking thing needed to be prettied up, so
I painted & stamped one of the mirrors I had kicking around. It, originally, was a pale wood with a clear finish, but is now considerably more lively. I hung it on the back of my hutch, and it now opens up a reflective "window" onto the dining room. (Which, by the way,
*was red* up until I painted it white a few days ago.) Only two years ago I would have told you that white is lifeless, cold and dull, but I have come to see that it is the perfect canvas, upon which, to showcase the colourful bits I love so much.

P.S. When I look at this mirror I see
red ^
