::Catching Snowflakes::

Afew years ago my daughter and I learned how to "catch" snowflakes using a sheet of acetate and some spray lacquer. Yesterday we caught the best one yet. I think I was most delighted with the discovery that my camera was able to take picture through a microscope lens.
This is the HOW TO I posted a few years ago.
Catch a snowflake~ Place a can of lacquer and a clear plastic acetate sheet outside for an hour. Spray the sheet with lacquer and set the sheet out in snowfall for a few minutes. Place it somewhere out of the snow's reach for 2 hours. Bring it in and have a look for a snowflake impression.
